Sincerely, Sam: Coachella best dressed...

Hello everyone! So, like I promised, I will be posting my personal best dressed from Coachella this weekend. I know today is Monday and I usually post on Saturday but I realized I couldn’t post without seeing all the outfits from Coachella. Since it ended on Sunday I thought today would be the perfect day to post it. Honestly, I was kind of disappointed with the outfits I saw this year. It was really difficult for me to find outfits that I really liked. There were three outfits that I absolutely loved and I have to say they were my top best dressed for this weekend. Pictures will follow but the first outfit that I loved was modeled by Alessandra Ambrosio. Her maxi dress was very comfortable especially if you’re at a music festival. I also thought the lace that was on the side of the dress really looked beautiful and matches with the grey and blue tie dye pattern of the dress. I also loved the top of the dress how it was shaped like a triangle bikini. It made the dress look really unusual and fun. The accessories were great too especially the triple necklaces and the bracelets she layered to make the outfit more of a Coachella feel. My next best dressed was Gigi Hadid. I absolutely loved loved loved this look. Fringe is always a signature look at Coachella but I thought this year fringe was worn by almost everyone. Gigi, personally for me, pulled it off the best. She had only one piece of fringe which was her tan vest. Since she paired it with a black crochet crop top and some black shorts it really made the vest stand out because it was the only color on her outfit. I loved her hip accessory too! It felt very gypsy which is a perfect Coachella feel. Her Guess body chain pulled this look off really nicely because it dressed up the outfit. My absolute favorite outfit from the entire weekend at Coachella was worn by Jourdan Dunn. Her look was so simple but so well put together that I want to run out and buy this immediately. She wore high waisted black shorts that had a bit of fringe on the side but not too much and not too long. She wore it with a crop top tank top and paired it with the most beautiful necklace. Honestly that necklace probably weighed a ton but she rocked it! I love how it looked like she wasn’t just wearing one necklace but it seemed as if she had three on. Since her outfit was so plain I think this necklace could not have been a better accent piece. It just really pulled the entire look together. She paired this with a yellow shoulder bag which made the outfit pop more with the bright color of the purse. I looked at a ton of outfits over the weekend but she was my number one best dressed!

For you guys, I found this really difficult because a lot of the guys just wore a t-shirt, shorts and a snapback but my two best dressed guys were Cody Simpson and Joe Jonas. Cody’s outfit was very simple. He just wore a black t-shirt with some ripped jeans and vans but I like the necklace he paired with it because it made the outfit look well put together. I also like the hat he paired it with because it gave the outfit a very chilled vibe which is perfect for California and Coachella. Joe Jonas’s outfit was very different from Cody’s but what I liked about his was his shoes. Joe wore a white see through muscle tee with these grey shorts that had birds on it. His suede slip on vans really did the outfit justice because those were unlike any shoes we saw from guys at Coachella. The slip on shoes is always known as the “lazy” shoes which is ok because lazy days are the best plus I love my slip ons! I think, for Coachella, this was a really good outfit choice because it’s meant to be a laid back festival and his outfit did a great job of portraying that. There were a few more outfits that I wanted to point out because I did really like them. Kendall Jenner, Victoria Justice and Katy Perry had really cute outfits also this weekend. I loved how down to earth Victoria’s outfit was! It looks like something you can find at forever 21 or H&M which is good because if you liked it as much as I did you can buy the same look for half the cost! I loved Katy Perry’s look because it reminded me of her song ‘California Girls’ and really made me that much more excited for summer! Her skater skirt and matching crop top, with the baby pink and blue spaceship design, made the outfit really fun. Plus she paired it with really cool earrings that pulled the entire look together. Honestly, when I first saw Kendall’s outfit it reminded me of something I would have seen in Pirates of the Caribbean but I loved how she accessorized this look. If you didn’t notice, I am a big fan of accessories! You can take a simple outfit and dress it up by just wearing the right accessories. Kendall did a great job with the layering of her necklaces with the body chain combined. What I have been noticing a lot in fashion this year is the layering of necklaces. I love this style because it makes the outfit more fun and you can do it yourself without spending a ton of money! She finished the look with a very unique and different belt that has two belt buckles going in the same direction. Honestly I haven’t seen a belt like this but I want to know where I can get me one of them!

And what would Coachella be without the performances! My top favorite performances this weekend were by Alesso and Clean Bandit. Since two of my favorite songs right now are ‘Hereos’ by Alesso featuring Tove Lo and ‘Rather Be’ by Clean Bandit. It was really awesome to watch them play it on stage. Clean Bandit had a surprise performance with Marina and the Diamonds to perform a song she wrote for them called ‘Disconnect’. This was the first time this song has ever been performed and it was an excellent performance so if you haven’t seen it go check it out! Alesso had an amazing set this weekend that I am still re-watching online. If you haven’t seen it I HIGHLY recommend you look it up. You won’t regret it. So unfortunately for me I wasn’t at Coachella this weekend but it is on my bucket list. I will go one day, hopefully soon! I hope you enjoyed this blog post about my best dressed at Coachella 2015.
