Hello everyone! I am currently writing this as the sun is blazing down on all of New York which is something I am extremely happy about because I love summer! Now what is summer without the perfect sunnies to wear on beach days, amusement park days, camp days and even just every day walking around. This season has all new styles of sunnies and I am very excited about this! This season I am seeing a lot of mirror lens sunnies and also cat eye sunnies. I will post pictures of the sunnies I am discussing so if you want to see them they will be at the end of this post. My first pair the newest pair in my sunnies collection and one of my favorites. I got these at Pacsun not too long ago so if you want to grab a pair go check them out. They were a really good price and they look super cute! What I love about these sunnies is the mirror look in the lens. I have been seeing a lot of this so far this season. I think it gives a really cool effect especially when the sun is out. I got these in beige because I have ombre hair so I figured it would match my hair color as well as my skin tone better but I am almost positive these also come in black if you wanted a pair of black mirror sunnies.
The next one I absolutely love for two reasons. One I absolutely LOVE the shape of them and two I got them in London and if you don’t know by now London is my favorite place in the world so it’s always nice to have a little something of London on to remind me. I got these at Topshop last year however I was on their website and, good news, they still sell them so if you wanted to buy these you can! I love the huge circle sunnies. They make me feel like I am at Coachella every day which is always a good thing. I also really love the color because there are multiple shades of brown in them so you can match them with just about anything since it’s a neutral color. Also a plus, these look super cute in pictures which is an added bonus! My next pair is another rounded style however these aren’t as big so if you wanted something a little smaller these might be perfect for you. I got these at Forever 21 and I just love them. I got them in black because they match everything and also because I liked how the black looked on better. I like that these are a little smaller in shape because if you don’t want something so dramatic and just an everyday sunnie then these are perfect for you. These are perfect size to put in your purse which is good because I put so much stuff in my purse that I need something small enough to just whip out when the sun starts to shine. I really like how these look in pictures as well because like I said they are the perfect size. An added bonus is the price. Forever 21 always has the cutest accessories for such a good price. I honestly don’t think I spent more than $10 on these sunnies and they look like I spent way more than that.
The last two are a little thicker in frame which is good so you can switch up your style every so often. Honestly, I think you can wear a simple outfit with a dramatic pair of sunnies and that will just make the entire look. Like I’ve said in the past it’s all about the accessories. These have the cat eye effect which I am beyond loving because it’s like the perfect winged eyeliner on your face! I got these from Forever 21 and I have to say I am so beyond impressed with the quality of these sunnies because they look like something I would get at Urban Outfitters or something because they are just such good quality! These literally cost under $8 which was awesome because you can buy so many different sunnies when you get them so cheap. I got these in black because well that was the only color they came in hehe. All jokes aside I really love them in black because I think it sort of gives it a Audrey Hepburn sort of look and who doesn’t want to look like her? These sort of give a vintage type of look but still has the cat eye effect. I love these so much I can’t wait to wear these with a cute little sundress or even a plain T-shirt and shorts because it will really make the outfit pop.
My last pair are my favorites. These are my go to sunnies and these will be the number one pair I make sure to pack when I go to California (which is in one month!!!!). I got these at, can you believe it, Forever 21. I am so beyond obsessed with these. I just can’t get enough of the style and design and ugh they are just perfection. I actually got these in a grey and black cheetah print which I know sounds a bit crazy and obnoxious but honestly they are so cute! Once again awesome price and they just are the perfect sunnies for the perfect selfie. These have a combination of just about every sunnie I talked about. They are round with a slight cat eye and they are a thicker shape. So if you don’t want to have so many or buy so many this might be your in between. When I first saw them I was almost positive they would look horrible on me but once I tried them on I was like yes these are perfection and I need them in my life. Sunnies are so hard to shop for because even though places have literally hundreds of different styles it’s hard to find the perfect one to fit your face. What looks good on one person might not look good on you and vice versa. I can’t tell you how many I have tried on until I found the perfect ones. I got lucky enough to find a few that fit my face perfectly but honestly it took me a long time to work up a collection of my own. My best advice is to try on as many as possible. It sounds cliche but it is honestly fun because sometimes you try ones on that look so bad it’s absolutely hysterical and then you try some on and your killing it so just look around and try on.
